• Serengeti & Ngorongoro: Vast savannas and alkaline lakes offering massive flamingo flocks, Secretarybirds, Kori Bustards, and an incredible density of raptors alongside the Great Migration.
• Eastern Arc Mountains (Udzungwa & Usambara): Ancient, isolated forested mountains harboring spectacular endemics like the Udzungwa Forest Partridge, Usambara Eagle-Owl, and Amani Sunbird.
• Tarangire National Park: Famous for its baobab trees and massive elephant herds, it is excellent for finding the endemic Ashy Starling, Yellow-collared Lovebird, and Rufous-tailed Weaver.
• Pemba Island: A short ferry from the mainland, holding four highly localized endemics including the Pemba Scops-Owl and Pemba Sunbird.

Seasonal Guidance

• Dry Season (Best) (June to October): The most popular and productive time to visit. Wildlife is heavily concentrated around remaining water sources, dirt roads are highly accessible, and the Great Migration is moving through the northern Serengeti.
• Green Season (November to May): The "short" and "long" rains bring lush landscapes and trigger massive breeding activity. The savannas are filled with migrant birds from Eurasia, making it the best time for pure species-count birding, though travel can be muddy.
