Granatellus venustus

The red-breasted chat is a small passerine bird in the family Cardinalidae, the cardinals and cardinal grosbeaks. It occurs principally in western Mexico, with a limited extension into far-western Guatemala. The species inhabits dense vegetation in dry and seasonally deciduous forests and is notable for the strongly contrasting plumages of the sexes.
